Tax Advisor - Multinational in the Building Materials Sector


The company provides its services in two business areas: Engineering & Maintenance and Technologies. They are particularly active in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Customers from the process industry come from the chemical & petrochemical, energy & supply, oil & gas, pharmaceutical & biopharma, metallurgy and cement sectors, among others. With around 30,000 employees, they adhere to the highest safety and quality standards and generated sales of € 3.5 billion in the 2020 financial year.


Within the international Group, the Corporate Tax department based in Mannheim plays a leading role in assessing and accompanying tax issues at national and international level. The wide range of topics ranges from the processing of tax assessments to comprehensive tax advice and tax audit support to tax project support in cross-border matters and corporate transactions.


As part of the tax law team, you will support us in the following tasks:

  • Support in the expansion of a group-wide Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS) and independent takeover of sub-projects

  • Active support and monitoring of the group-wide TCMS in system and regular operation, especially the continuous updating of internal company processes

  • Collaboration in the digitization of tax-relevant processes

  • Independent tax support for international projects

  • Contact for our group companies for international tax issues

  • Management of external consultants abroad


Profile:

  • You have successfully completed a business or law degree

  • Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in the field of international taxes in the tax department of an internationally operating group or at an international tax consultancy or auditing company

  • You have knowledge of tax compliance management systems and experience in project management

  • You have initial or in-depth knowledge of tax transfer pricing regulations

  • You have a high affinity for IT

  • You are experienced in international and interdisciplinary cooperation

  • You are ready to familiarize yourself with different tax law norms and business models and have the ability to prepare and present complex tax relationships in an understandable manner

  • You have a very good command of the English language, both spoken and written

  • The ability to work in a team, confident demeanor, a high level of initiative, service mentality, a pronounced analytical and business mindset as well as your desire to continuously develop round off your profile
